4 Day/3 Night

Day One

  • KentuckyShow!: This sensory experience tells the beautiful story of Kentucky’s rich history. The imagery is breathtaking and sounds are comforting. This show offers a Kentucky 101 class for first-time visitors. For those who have been to Kentucky before, this show is a reminder of why the Commonwealth is so special. KentuckyShow! is narrated by Ashley Judd, a Kentucky native.
  • Louisville Mega Cavern: Once an urban legend, the Mega Cavern is now a reality. This manmade cavern was originally a limestone pit mine, and over the last 50 years, has served many purposes. (Kentucky limestone plays an important role in the making of Kentucky bourbon.) Now it has been turned into a one of a kind attraction. Your group will take a Jeep-driven tram through 17 miles of underground caverns and learn about the history of the cavern. Temperature is always 58°, so bring a light jacket.
  • Dinner Cruise aboard the historic Belle of Louisville: Enjoy a savory Southern dinner aboard the Belle of Louisville as she cruises up the scenic Ohio River. At over 90 years old, the Belle is the oldest operating steamboat in the nation, and a treasured National Historic Landmark.

Feel the excitement of the crowds and hear the thunder of the hoofs with a presentation of The Greatest Race.
  • (Pay one price per person for Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby Museum.)
  • Jim Beam’s American Outpost: Visit the world’s largest bourbon distiller. Learn all about Jim Beam bourbon and Beam family heritage at the American Outpost. Tours provide insight into the centuries-old art of distilling and the Jim Beam legacy. Sample a selection of handcrafted small batch bourbons.

You can even create your own personalized bottle to take home!

Day Three

  • Lynn’s Paradise Café: Featuring Kentucky Proud products from local farmers, Lynn’s is a one-of-a-kind eatery offering wildly sinful and truly Southern concoctions. With its quirky décor of ugly lamps and bottle cap art, you will truly feel at home while satisfying your appetite for delicious food and endless eye candy.
  • Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory: Admire the world’s largest baseball bat before going inside to see how Louisville Sluggers are made. Have an all-star experience by swinging a bat just like Babe Ruth’s, facing down a 90 mph fastball, and sharing a dugout with Mickey Mantle. The Louisville Slugger has been essential in the sport of baseball since 1884.

You will be captivated by the alluring smell and atmosphere of bourbon sleeping inside the aging warehouses. Then you will go inside the renowned Blanton’s Bottling Hall, where you will see Buffalo Trace’s signature bourbons being filled, sealed, labeled, and packaged—all by hand. The Trace Tour ends with a tasting of fine Kentucky bourbon and more delicious treats!
  • Dinner at Claudia Sanders Dinner House: Experience true Kentucky cooking at this restaurant named for Colonel Sanders’ wife. Specialties include fried chicken, country ham and eight famous vegetables. Located at the former home and headquarters of Claudia and Colonel Harland Sanders.

Your group will meet the owners, Jill and Warren Schimpff, and see a candymaking demonstration that will have your mouths watering. Schimpff’s has been featured on the History Channel’s Modern Marvels, as they still use 19th century equipment to churn out their beloved Red Hots. While there, try one of their scrumptious bourbon balls.
