Rob Casey--Bristol Bar & Grille Downtown

Rob Casey has been an incredibly valuable employee at the Bristol Bar & Grille - Downtown for 3 years. He has a great passion for fine food, detailed beverage knowledge and is at the absolute pinacle when it comes to customer service. Rob takes amazing pride in pleasing every customer by going to great lengths to help guests select the perfect appetizers, entrees, desserts and perfectly paired beverages. He further enhances the guests' experience by carefully reading the guests without being intrusive. Rob has taken a particular interest in talking with guests about the importance of working with local farmers and of his trips to some of Kentucky's great farms. Our guests are often treated to learning about our local beverage from Rob, Kentucky Bourbon.

He is able to answer any questions they have as well as tell them about his great experiences touring our great distilleries and the history of Main Street's "Whiskey Row". Rob can often be overheard talking to guests about the nearby museums they must visit, our great parks in Louisville and he is always aware of what shows are being performed at the local theatres.

It is a very common occurence for guests to tell me how thankful they were to have dined with us because Rob truly went above and beyond.

A recent letter that was sent to the LCVB that came as no surprise to me or anyone that knows Rob. He is by every definition a true Louisvillian and Kentuckian and this is why I'm nominating Rob Casey for this years ROSE award.

Said Bahou--Volare Ristorante

Said Bahou has worked for Volare for over 3 years, 7 days a week, during the day cleaning and at night bussing. He just had his first vacation (home to Morocco). He never complains, always smiling, always making his coworkers and guests leave with a smile and warmth while in his presence.

Although the staff stepped up while he was away for several months, his presence was greatly missed and the question was "When is Said coming home? We miss him!" He is always going above and beyond the call of duty and surpassing the needs of the guests.

Kylee Marcy--Marketplace Restarant

This girl is very dependable and a serious sales person. She is able to establish integrity with the table above and beyond anything I have seen in my 25 years of serving.

I am always surprised to find that she had just met the guest because they are so comfortable it looks like they are old friends. She can balance serious and fun better than most. Everyone has fun when she is working and the job gets done right.

Edgar Schulz--Mark's Feed Store

If I were to use one word to describe Edgar, it would be dedicated. Dedicated to his faith, family and then work. He has been working very hard sometimes having two jobs, and is currently even trying a third, just to support his family here and back in Acapulco. He does not work so hard sometimes because he has to, sometimes it's because he truly wants to. He wants his family to be taken care of in every way possible and stops at nothing to see his goals realized.

Edgar is loved by his friends and especially his coworkers here at Mark's. Customers even know Edgar and he will sometimes say hello to people through the kitchen into the dining area. Edgar is surrounded by a wonderful wife Judy and two children, Christian and Eliani. Aldo, his brother, also lives here with Edgar's family and works along side him here at Mark's.

Every day Edgar has one goal and that is how can I make today better than yesterday for his family first and for himself second.

Logan Thompson--Eddie Merlot's

Logan has been a key team member since Eddie Merlot’s opened our doors here in Louisville from the very beginning. He shown amazing leadership skills and is always willing to help a fellow employee or guest.

Often the team leader of a shift in the kitchen, he helps our Chef’s produce some of the best food in Louisville, leading to may satisfied guest.
