Louisville has steadily gained notice as one of the country’s most vital restaurant scenes. With over 2,500 restaurants, visitors are astounded by the variety and quality of fine dining offered in the area by chefs who have taken regional cuisine to a nationally recognized level. There are quiet cafes, coffee houses, ethnic restaurants, bourbon lounges, casual eateries, and popular national chains.
Visitors often ask, “where do the locals eat?” For the answer, they often turn to the “Louisville Originals,” over 50 independent restaurants where patrons are likely to be greeted and seated by the owners.
Louisville has three restaurant districts within close proximity of the Kentucky Exposition Center and the downtown Kentucky International Convention Center (KICC). |
